An exceptional strong, dry red wine with a full-bodies density, delicate extract sweetness and a great length. The special grapes for this wine are dried for ten weeks in small crates in an airy attic, followed by an additional four weeks of maceration before this Appassimento is matured in barrique barrels for 18 months. We expect the Dry Aged Red to keep for around 20 years, although the wine is already a pleasure to drink now. René Gabriel described the Dry Aged Red as “rich on the palate, direct, full-bodied, full of character and highly aromatic for a long while. A great, new Austria special class. An enrichment for any cellar full of rarities and for innovative cheese sommeliers.”
